Prime office letting displays renewed activity in the sector

Queen Square House is arguably Bath’s best office building and the speed at which the ground floor office let was testament to this. Colston & Colston were instructed by the NFU Mutual, to assign the office suite, which had become surplus to their requirements, having relocated their staff to another nearby branch.

Following instruction Colston & Colston were quick to contact those parties who had made previous applications for offices in the city. After a number of viewings in the first 2 weeks of marketing, an agreement was reached with with Beckford James as the new occupier.

Beckford James are a Group of Chartered Financial Planners with offices in Bath and Birmingham. The firm has grown over recent years and saw the opportunity to acquire premises which reflect their ambition. Joe McGuire, partner, said of the new offices, ‘we were seeking a new office for some time, a place where we could realise the potential of the business. The open plan nature of the suite, coupled with the period façade was what attracted us initially. Colston & Colston were able to guide us through to completion and streamlined the process so that we could transition from one office to the next without paying double overheads, so a great result for us.’
